Introducing

The newest Kicklighter

Yet to be named.

We have been talking about getting a companion for Zoey for some time. After seeing Frodo and Zoey play so well together we started looking. We went to the Humane Society on Saturday. I could have easily taken any dog there. We wanted another girl and she had to be smaller than Zoey. Zoey came along she didn't know it, but she was the deal breaker on getting another dog.
Well this young lady according to the Humane Society paperwork was 1 year old and crate trained(Sidebar: I was quite annoyed that the HS did not have much information on the dog, all they could tell us was about a year and cratetrained, that's all the info they got out of the owners? wouldn't it be easier to get dogs adopted if they asked more questions? the previous owners didn't even give a reason why they were giving her up. rant off)
We took her outside and she immediately took to Zoey, submitted right away, tried to play with her, walked well on a leash together. So it looked like we had a winner. We brought out another girl to try, but she was real hyper.
So we committed to another 4 legged family member. She had to be spayed, so I picked her up after her procedure on Monday. Can you say drug induced lethargic dog? She was out of it. Bumping into wall, just standing around. It took me a couple hours just to get her to lay down. Did I mention she is skinny, all her ribs are exposed, but fortunately her appetite showed up Tuesday. She is devouring everything we put in front of her. She is 25 lbs. now, I bet she will be about 35 when she is full grown. Which by the way, she is definitely still a puppy, she has a puppy face and her paws are as big as Zoey's.
As for breed, my best guess is a dalmation/beagle. The HS said English bulldog mix, but that is way off, she does have an underbite though. We'll just have to wait and see.
No name yet, need suggestions. Options now are Daisy(neighbor's dog has that name), Sadie, Lucy, Ella (Becky's pick), Lola, and a couple others I can't remember. Naming girl dogs is hard

Anyway, here are some more photos
